D888 EPOXY TILE GROUT (formerly Duratilofil E)

After the tiles gets set completely, tile joints/ gaps are filled with tile grout. Tile grouts are either epoxy based (D888 Durabuild Epoxy Tile grout) or cementitious based (D880 Durabuild Cementitious Tile grout). These tile grouts have their own advantages and are preferred as it does not allow water to seep into the back of the tile and cause its dislocation. It firmly holds the tiles together to provide a hard wearing, non-dusting surface to the floor tiles. It provides excellent matching of colours of the tiles and is equally UV resistant. It avoids crack formation with negligible shrinkage. It is recommended for filling both vertical and horizontal joints of the tile upto 8 mm. Although epoxy based grouts are expensive but they do not suffer from peeling, staining and shelf life issues like cement based tile grouts. Epoxy tile grouts are most suitable for areas requiring hygienic finish and/or chemical resistance, such as food processing industries, kitchen, pharma, hospitals, etc.

Duringgrouting with D880 paste, remove the surplus paste with damp sponge without exceeding the working time of grout. Clean with water to remove any dried grout film from the tile surface. D888is a two pack system with mix ratio of 2:1 (RESIN:HARDENER). It has a pot life of 45 minutes with drying time of 5 hours. It possessesexcellent chemical resistance and antifungal properties.
